C: Let’s Help This Budding Scientist!!

Spring is here, which means all of us will be out in the midst of nature, whether gardening or just strolling through the woods.  Watch this video and see if you can’t keep your eyes peeled while you’re out and about and help her out!

You might want to equip yourself with one of those little butterfly nets, like she has.  I think Pink would be best…for reasons best understood after this video.



 

Remember, some things have to be believed to be seen

Science is grand!
I'll keep a look out for any evidence of local Fairies. I have been trying to spot the Elves I suspect live in the forest. Maybe there are Fairies here too!
I guess I do need a pink butterfly net. That must be the reason I haven't found anything yet. Thanks for the video!

I LOVE this! I hope she does indeed find "evidence" and shares it with all of us, we need s bit of fairy dust and inspiration every now and then. I will let her know If I find any fairies in my woods.

There are fairies everywhere, they are just shy and ephemeral little things. You find them everywhere around here, however, we also have a strict 'catch and release' policy here in Côtes d'Armor, Bretagne.

My favourite bit (besides the 'thousands, hundreds, even...)... was that "pastel colours are the Fairy attractant." Oh, just precious!

This is wonderful. My own grands have tiny tin "faerie mailboxes" and the faeries leave them shells, leaves, flowers, wishbones, etc.

Things are going to crescendo soon. My Sara May looked at a tiny faerie card and said, "This was in my mailbox, Amma, but it looks like your handwriting."

YIKES.

Yeah, it’s French.  And, yeah, I’m faking it—I can’t speak French, at least not yet, but it’s the phrase that came to mind this morning.  See?  I know a little… I found myself wanting to write.  But about what?  Those of us in Blogdom know that one way to get a post done is to sit at the keyboard and let our fingers do the walking…mine just seemed to take off. I thought about taking off on a comment that Vickie of Sand Flat Farm made on my last post on cussing, no less.  Her point is that we are growing “numb” to things…yes, that’s a post all right.  But this morning I don’t feel like soap box ranting (do I hear a collective sigh of relief?).  Vickie’s inspiration will wait on another day.  No, I think I feel like just reporting.  On life.  When V first dragged me into blogging and we were considering names for our blog, one of the first names my cynical mind came up with was “As if You Care!”   But I find that I do care about your mundane little life details, weird as it see

As promised in my last post, this is your chance to WIN!! If you read the previous post, you will see that I am intrigued by by-gone etiquette rules. I have two copies of this book, one dating from 1945 (for which you can all vie) and one from 1950. The questions I am asking below are from the 1950 book because I had not yet dug the other one out when I starting composing this one.
