V:Beautiful Sunsets…and Other Stuff

Sunset is one of the most beautiful times of the day when all is winding down and the quiet, dark blanket of night covers us all.  I love to take my two year old grandson outside at night to look at the evening sky.  He is fascinated by the moon and stars and airplanes!  I saw this beautiful sky  the other night when I ran in and told hubby to hurry and get the camera.  He got some beautiful shots before darkness set in.

Home improvement projects - house

I can’t believe it’s been an entire month since we last posted!  Nothing of significance, just the everyday rush of life. We are in the midst of some interior house painting and home projects.  This house has been neglected for too long!

Feel better soon!

“C” has been busy getting ready for a trial later this month and her mom has had some health issues lately.  In fact she is in the hospital tonight and I know your prayers would be appreciated.  Her mom is such a special person to me.  My sister feels the same way.  While our mom was inconsistent in the nurturing department,  “C”’s mom was a warm, fuzzy type mother—except when she was chasing “C” and her brother with her famed fly-swatter!  My mom kept a switch she picked off the bush in our front yard for our spankings!  Get well soon, Jackie!

Publish this book!

We’re definitely not going away, but regular posting is a little difficult right now.  Thank heavens for Spring Break next week.  Our staff really needs it and I am so looking forward to summer break.  I’m really grateful for that time—especially since a new bundle of joy will be arriving soon!  “C” is looking for more time to write and work on getting her book published!  Yes, I feel certain she will be a published author before too long!

So I am heading off to bed with these guys—my bed buddies, Goldie and Desi!  Actually Desi usually has to go to his plush bed in the bathroom because he wants to play in the middle of the night!  He is truly a prancing little Papillon, who like a hummingbird, is NEVER still for long!

Hello, hello! Glad to have updates on you both. Prayers for C's mom and for your little bundle's safe delivery. And can't wait to hear more about C's book!

Enjoy your Spring Break. I am actually working more then than usual, as I'm covering for others who are having grandchildren visit from afar. I can afford to be generous as I enjoy living so close to mine and seeing them often.

Will be sure to keep C's mom in prayer! Hope all that goes well - my mama was a "fly-swatter" type of mama, too! Yeowch! She left stinging marks on my legs many a time! This made me smile real big, V!

I know how busy it is. I've not been posting as much either, maybe once a week or every two weeks, so don't feel bad. So C's writing a book! Exciting! Well, I would sure be interested to know when it comes out!

Beautiful sunset - and showing your little grandson will help him appreciate these little things, too, and he'll remember that about YOU! Ya'll have a great week!

Ah! The fly swatter! Yes, that was my mom. :) I'll be thinking about C's mom, she sounds like a sweet heart.

Glad to hear nothing traumatic is happening for you but I do understand life getting in the way of keeping in touch.
It has been a long time since I posted regularly as well.
We adopted a new furry family member about Desi's size, which is a huge change for me. At 3 months she is still smaller than the cats but has a full size bark. We have not had a puppy in the house in years and all that energy!
Best wishes to "c" and the publishing route. It takes time but persist!
I was sooo good to see ya out and about today so I just had to pop in and say 'howdy'!

Try to rest on your spring break.

God bless ya and have a fantastic week sweetie.

Prayin' for C's Mom....

Beautiful sunset! I'm hangin' with ya! Love those flyswatter stories! Brings back LOTS of memories. My choice of "switches" was the wooden spoon. Broke lots of those. You shared lots of interesting news. I'll be checking in periodically. Have a beautiful spring!
