C: Best-Laid Plans...Roadblocks!

Well, our images of mood-setting pictures of Mom and Mother-in-law drawing a name for our contest just crashed and burned. Yesterday my MIL fell backwards and broke her hip. We spent all day yesterday at the hospital and she went into surgery at 10 p.m., getting out at 1:15 a.m. this morning. I promise to get back with the winning name just as soon as I can slow down just a bit (if I don't fall asleep first...). I am not near the help to V on the wedding I had promised, but I'm sure it will go off well. Back with you in a bit. In the meantime, keep us all in your prayers. C

Oh C so sorry about her misfortune. Hope things go well for her. So you are surprised to learn I am, well almost 72. Here is my secret. When I turned 50 I decided the next birthday would be 49,48 etc. I am now 21. The only thing I don't do now, that I did at 50, is water ski and roller skate.

Oh my! You have a whole horse-trailer load of things to attend to! Way more important than your generous blog give-away and anyone who is desirous of a book on etiquette would be plum happy to hear you attended to your beloved MIL and to the wedding responsibilities and festivities before you resumed your fun blogging! Prayers for you all, for sure.

You'd better keep us informed ( please?) as to your MIL's condition and recovery and looking forward to wedding pictures on your blog!

Best quick recovery wishes to your mother-in-law. I understand that they do amazing things now with hip surgery and broken bones. It's not like it used to be thank goodness. You really are a blessing to her and I'm so glad that she is back in your life. Take care now...
Oh, I hope your MIL will recover quickly, bless her heart! Take good care of each other! blessings,Kathleen
Absolutely will do. So sorry to be late finding out! Take care to all!
So sorry to hear about your MIL. I have seen mine through several surgerys lately and my Mom had hip surgery two years ago. I know how life consuming it becomes. I will defiantly pray for your MIL. This Ozarks farm chick enjoyed her ride through your blog. Take care of yourself and God Bless!!!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about the mother in law's hip! She is going to need alot of care. I'm glad you two are around to help her. Will she have to go to a nursing home or rehab place? My prayers are with you all. You both are up to your EYEBALLS!

Inquiring minds want to know - what did you find in your dad's nightstand? Anything interesting?

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I read some of yours (it's late and I should be in bed). Very cool. Curious how you found my blog. The only one we seem to have in common is My Messy, Thrilling Life. Hope your MIL heals quickly.
