And I too use...I too suffer from the same problems. And I too used to be like you, needing at least 10 hours sleep and i slept like a log.
These days I do fall asleep, but at best my sleep is restless, it is as if I am aware of everything around me. Very few times do I get a good night sleep. And I often wake up about 2h before I have to get up anyway which makes it impossible to fall asleep again.
I think it has all something to do with my subconscious, that is working overtime, trying to solve my problems. Or perhaps I have always had problems, but the older I get the more I worry about them.;)
Wishing you a good night sleep,
xoxoZuzanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02137958790178864561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-61471827465345634682010-10-03T21:48:33.539-05:002010-10-03T21:48:33.539-05:00I stay up and post way too late way too often, but...I stay up and post way too late way too often, but don't think I've ever started a post upon waking.

I have however had to institute the no-tv-or-online-purchases-between-midnight-and-7am rule. That was after I ordered a king-size bed and requested delivery at my office! :)kath001https://www.blogger.com/profile/15419353146614030036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-69685548817969915272010-10-03T20:34:56.859-05:002010-10-03T20:34:56.859-05:00I sort of do that, when I can't sleep, sometim...I sort of do that, when I can't sleep, sometimes I blog in my head. I come up with the most brilliant postings, Nobel prize type stuff. But, you know, somehow or other when I go to type it in the next day, it just isn't as good. I do enjoy reading your posts so there is an up side to the insomnia.
Sleep well tonight,
KatKat_RNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14008977319279272365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-32469103544968295212010-10-03T17:08:05.146-05:002010-10-03T17:08:05.146-05:00No, no middle of the night composing at all. Sometimes blinking as slowly as possible ten times will work. By the time I get to the fourth blink, I do not want to open my eyes.Veehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618654361869856894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-28891241045718476202010-10-03T14:18:38.445-05:002010-10-03T14:18:38.445-05:00I am a good sleeper. I go to bed around 11:30 and get up a little after 6.happyonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14186179870233267082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-74257262739696299652010-10-03T13:34:42.118-05:002010-10-03T13:34:42.118-05:00I am an insomniac and I once did a blog post calle...I am an insomniac and I once did a blog post called the Insomniacs Checklist. Things I do when I can't sleep...oh the usual stuff, surfing the net, blogging, watching TV, do the ironing. But something I often find myself doing is moving furniture around...after which I'm so exhausted I'm usually ready for sleep.Ayakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16903896106779269050noreply@blogger.com
