I've learned to not hold him when the other aminals are around. I have 2 dogs, a rat terrier and daschund, 6 cats all pedigreed except 1. We've taken it upon ourselves to feed the feral cats in the neighborhood also. It's sad so many people get pets and find they are too much trouble to care for. I can't imagine giving any of mine away, even the parrot!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10097542746703722984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-88199894127970604342012-02-14T08:08:22.720-06:002012-02-14T08:08:22.720-06:00Five of my six dogs were foundlings; all three of ...Five of my six dogs were foundlings; all three of my house cats were foundlings and all of the barn cats. At least the guy was thoughtful enough to give some money towards the food. As for me, I love dogs; but one at a time is plenty. Cats are good, too, but I have to agree about the cat hair.Linda at To Behold The Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07419060763634934217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1834389037350420100.post-36391753082051182782012-02-08T18:02:09.649-06:002012-02-08T18:02:09.649-06:00We have one of each. A German Shepherd that was a puppy when she came to live with us, and a rescue Chesapeake Bay Retriever (looks like Coco in your photo) and a rescue Pit Bull.

I like cats, but my husband isn't too keen on them. They love me, though. I was at a coworkers a couple of weeks ago, and I had barely sat down when her cat was sprawled across me and conked out. Coworker asked if I had hypnotized her. I have this effect on cats everywhere I go. :)

Glad to hear that daughter and baby are doing well. You are a blessing to them all. Been wonderin' where you girls...THERE YOU ARE! Been wonderin' where you girls were...

Now, that's some big dumping! I can't believe the same person kept dumping dogs there! People dump their cats at our farm. We've had 4 recently that I've found homes for. Our farm dog doesn't like cats, so I'd hate for something to happen to them.

I know what you mean bout getting busier in our mid-late fifties. Thankfully, I don't have kids to take care of, and I feel your pain. I'm trying to get back to painting, but I'm still working some - hubby resigned his last job of 30 years, and he's opening his own office. So, it's been hectic here, too.

Hopefully you girls will get a break soon and you can relax a bit!
